AC Interview: Ronald_Reagan
#11
Proving grounds is like a beta testing discussion area, right? I was away when it was implemented.

Basically a smaller group where more focused discussions on weapon balance and such can be made.

Yep. It is private with a limited number of people being able to see it.

What this does is limits the amount of cruft the devs have to sift through. Not only does it keep out people who want to spam "Make AC gema only, add twenty new weapons, switch to the Source engine, Y U NO COUNTERSTRIKE?", but all topics are kept on topic (no random posts to bloat the thread) with (for the most part) useful discussion.

Portal, HL2, TF2, and Counter-Strike Source are games built on that engine.

I've never understood why some people want to make AC more like CS. I hate the round-based gameplay.

I do wish there were some more active games built on the Cube engine though.
